THE SEA, THE SPIRIT, THE LANDSCAPE, THE FLAVORS – GOURMANTE, THE REAL MEDITERRANEAN TASTE!

Our journey started in Greece a few years ago, then continued in Italy and recently Spain. Along the way, we visited amazing landscapes with endless olive groves, watched spectacular sunsets over the Mediterranean sea (and took a swim or two!), met local people with a zest for life and high spirits, tasted products with potent aromas & unique flavors – in other words uncovered “The Real Mediterranean Taste”.

Let us share with you our experiences, moments, facts & tips and, above all, great products which are also good for your health.

All Gourmante products have their origin in the Mediterranean region and are natural, free from preservatives, additives, gmo ingredients or artificial colorings.

The range includes several organic products and provides the basic ingredients of the healthy Mediterranean Diet.

Gourmante is already the leading brand for Mediterranean food products in the Baltic counties, namely Estonia, Latvia & Lithuania, enjoying great success in all distribution channels.

GOURMANTE BIO GARDEN SAGE 10GR

Organically cultivated in the fertile land near the town of Agrinio, Western Greece. Upon flowering Sage leaves are handpicked, air dried, crushed and selected for packaging.

Their flavor & aroma is so strong it will travel your senses in the Mediterranean countryside, while their high concentration of essential oils guarantee you will get all the health benefits.

Sage has for generations been listed as one of the essential herbs, along with parsley, rosemary and thyme. It has a savory, slightly peppery flavor. It appears in many European cuisines, notably Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cookery.

In British and American cooking, it is traditionally served as sage and onion stuffing, an accompaniment to roast turkey or chicken at Christmas or Thanksgiving day.

It is used for respiratory ailments like asthma and alleviating nasal discharge associated with upper respiratory infections. Sage leaves are crushed in boiling water and the fumes are inhaled.
